2nd ELIE Partners' Meeting held in Turku

2nd ELIE Partners' Meeting held in Turku

The second ELIE Partners’ Meeting was held in Finland, at the University of Turku, on 30th June and 1st July 2011 and was attended by representatives of all the partners.

The work completed so far was discussed. Interviews have already been carried out with more than 150 entrepreneurs across the four participating countries (UK, Greece, Finland and Poland). The interviewees are running a range of businesses but have in common that they are all operating in countries other than the one in which they were born. Workshops have also been carried out with students and entrepreneurs.

From the work carried out so far a number of themes have started to emerge although interestingly the themes vary from country to country and are not common to all four countries. Case studies based on a selection of the interviews are now being written.

Future plans and timescales were discussed at the meeting, the third Partners’ Meeting will be held in Lodz, Poland in March 2012.

Photographs from the second meeting can be seen in the Photo Gallery on these pages. Further information on the progress of the project can be found in the Newsletter also available on these pages.
