The University of Lodz (UoL) was established in 1945 and in 1994 the Faculty of Management (where the ELIE project is based) was opened. The Faculty is one of the largest and most active business school in Central Europe offering wide range of courses at bachelor, master and doctoral level as well as MBAs. The Management Faculty has 6500 students and 150 staff members (including 80 Ph.D., 30 D.Sc. and 10 full professors).
The Faculty’s departments are active in the field of research into entrepreneurship, marketing, accounting, quality management, public administration, information technologies, etc. The Faculty offers courses focused on various issues related to enterprise management. The Faculty has also extensive experience in the implementation of international research projects (FP6, FP7) and educational projects (Leonardo da Vinci, Interreg, Erasmus, Grundtvig, Multilateral Project).
